Cooking oil fire than other types of combustible liquid fire with high heat release rate,easy resurgence and hazardous characteristics.Although the current use of fire extinguishing agent has the characteristic of a particular aspect in the process of fire,there are some defects with the agent.Therefore,the research on the high efficiency of water mist with additives to extinguish the cooking oil fire has become one of the hot spots in the field of fire science.In this paper,on basis of self-developed water mist fire extinguishing system,selects small scale experiment,analyzes the characteristics of cooking oil fire burning,The preliminary experiment is carried out to test the reliability of the fire extinguishing system.The conditions and rules of suppressing cooking oil fires by pure water mist were studied.According to the investigation and expected the test target,choose CH3COOK?KNO3?K2C2O4,C12H25SO4Na?C18H29NaO3 and Span20 and Span40 as additive of water mist.Through the experiment of extinguishing and cooling,seven kinds of single additive optimum concentration and cooling rate were studied,and analyzed the effect of water mist additives on fire suppression efficiency.According to the fire extinguishing efficiency,the composition of K2C2O4,C12H25SO4Na and Span20 additive as multicomponent additives were selected.Through orthogonal experiment,the optimal formula of fire extinguishing agent was obtained.The optimal formula was composed of 4%K2C2O4,12%C12H25SO4Na,3% Span20.The physical and chemical properties of the best formulation were tested according to the method specified in GB17835-2008.The results show that all the indicators are in line with national standards.At the same time,according to the experimental method in GA498-2012,the extinguishing efficiency of the fire extinguishing agent to different types of cooking oil-bath was tested.The results showed that the extinguishing agent had good fire extinguishing and cooling effect for different types of cooking oil-bath.
