This thesis regards hydraulic brake used in shearers as research object, adopts the embedded systems technique, the techniques of single-chip computer, and virtual instrument to design a flameproof intelligent hydraulic brake in accord with GB. The major research contents of this paper are as follows:First of all, in order to test temperature of the shearer's brake friction flak, the system adopts finite element analytical software ANSYS10.0 to deal with numerical simulation of temperature field of disc brake friction flak and mate plate. By doing this, the regularities of thermal field is obtained, at the same time, the characteristics of transient thermal field are analyzed.Secondly, an online test system is designed by means of the module-design idea, so that we can precise judge the failure extent of the friction material in disc brake. It uses C8051F020 as its detecting and controlling center simplifying peripheral circuit, and improving the integration of the system because of using the MCU. The software includes signals acquisition of analog, storage, display, and communication between MCU and computer. Meanwhile, we make full use of LabWindows/CVI as experimental platform of detecting system to accomplish the recording, saving of experimental data and printing.Thirdly, the design of flameproof according to GB is necessary to prevent explosion, which is resulting from high temperature and spark in the operation of electric equipment.Acquisition of temperature and displacement with high precision has been realized by the analog acquisition module. The realization of single chip microcomputer communicates with industrial control computer of shearer based on Modbus protocol. Braking time, temperature and wear allowance have been shown by the display module. The storage of acquired data was realized by the storage module, and off-line sampling data analysis is achieved.According to the design of paper, the design of the sample machine and debugging of the hardware and the software are finished. Through debugging on the spot, the system can completely fulfill the requirements of users. The system is of simple structure, and it is convenient and reliable in use.
