Separation And Determination Of Metal By HPLC After Cloud Point Extraction | | Posted on:2006-07-27 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:X F Xie | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2121360245974303 | Subject:Analytical Chemistry | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | On the base of consulting and analysing abundant literatures,author started with method of separation and preconcentration iron(Ⅱ),cobalt(Ⅱ),copper(Ⅱ)and nickel(Ⅱ).Two new methods on determination of trace metal had been put forward in this paper.One was determination of iron(Ⅱ),cobalt(Ⅱ)and nickel(Ⅱ)with TAN chelates by HPLC after cloud point extraction.The other was determination of copper(Ⅱ),cobalt(Ⅱ)and nickel(Ⅱ)with 5-Br-PADAP chelates by HPLC after cloud point extraction.The new methods had been applied to the determination of trace metal in water samples with satisfactory results.This paper was made up of four chapters.Chapter 1:Literature summarization.It reviewed the advance of determination of trace metal ions by high-performance liquid chromatography-spectrophotometry since 1994.And some new methods were introduced briefly.Chapter 2:Experimental scheme design.The theory foundation and experiment conceive of experimental project design were introduced simply,on the base of theory, author designed two experimental schemes.Chapter 3:Experiments.The first part:after cloud point extraction with Triton X-114,a RP-HPLC method for determination of iron(Ⅱ),cobalt(Ⅱ)and nickel(Ⅱ) with TAN chelates on a ODS column by using methanol-water(volume ratio is 69:31) containing 4.5mmol·L-1CTMAB and acetate buffer solution(pH=5.5)as mobile phase and with spectrophotometric detection at 565 nm was developed.Under the optimum conditions most other metal ions do not interfere and the detection limit was 0.2μg·L-1for iron(Ⅱ),0.4μg·L-1for cobalt(Ⅱ),0.1μg·L-1for nickel(Ⅱ).The method can be applied to the determination of trace amounts of iron,cobalt and nickel in water samples.The second part:after cloud point extraction with Triton X-114, another RP-HPLC method for determination of copper(Ⅱ),cobalt(Ⅱ)and nickel(Ⅱ) with 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol(5-Br-PADAP)chelates on a ODS column by using methanol-acetonitrile-water(volume ratio is 67:8:25) containing 2.0mmol·L-1CTMAB and acetate buffer solution(pH=5.0)as mobile phase and with spectrophotometric detection at 565 nm was developed.The detection limit was 0.1μg·L-1for copper(Ⅱ),0.1μg·L-1for cobalt(Ⅱ),0.05μg·L-1for nickel(Ⅱ).
