It was a fire-new technics for manufacturing grinding tools adopting photosensitive resin as bond material to make grinding wheels. In this paper, the layer-to-layer bonding mechanism of photosensitive resin was analyzed. According to the theory of mechanical bonding, layer-to-layer bond strength was improved by making the surface become more roughness. The research showed layer-to-layer bond strength had been effectively improved by the method. Based on the manufacturing mechanism of photosensitive resin grinding wheels, the equipment to make photosensitive resin grinding wheels had been set up, and the photosensitive resin grinding wheels had been made by this equipment. The layer-to-layer bond strength was proved that had been improved by the grinding experiments, and compare to the traditional grinding wheels, the photosensitive resin grinding wheels had the similar grinding performance.In Chapter One, the significance and the content of the paper was expounded on the basis of the general discussion about the development history, present situation and the developing trend on the grinding technology.In Chapter Two, the character of abrasive particles and bonding material were introduced. And the bonding mechanism of photosensitive resin was analyzed, the theory fit for improving the layer-to-layer bond strength was discussed. Then some study on the technics of manufacture about traditional grinding wheels and photosensitive resin grinding wheels were carried. In Chapter Three, it propose a method of UV curing which based on the magnetic force, and the layer-to-layer bond strength was proved that had been improved by the experiment of tensile shear, the photosensitive resin grinding wheels had been made by the equipment which was made by the author.In Chapter Four, the grinding surface of grinding wheels and the surface roughness of the work piece were analyzed by the grinding experiment, the result showed that the photosensitive resin grinding wheel had the similar grinding performance.In Chapter Five, the main conclusions were gathered up, and the further work on the theory and the technology also prospected.
