With the usage to dry ice expended tobacco in cigarette factory, the filling power of dry ice expended tobacco become one of important datum, and the Sublimator is one of key devices to effect it. So it is important to design the structure of the Sublimator reasonably. To research the effect to the proportion of long strands (>2.5mm) of dry ice expended tobacco in differential structure of Sublimator, and design optimum structure of Sublimator, the structure of"S"Type Sublimator and"Z"Type Sublimator were research subject. The flown line, velocity field of tobacco and gas and these materials transferred in the Sublimator 3D modeling were simulated respectively by computer with the CFD and FLUENT software. The simulated results were analyzed in compare and compare with experiment value. The results showed that the distributing of wind velocity vector in"S"Type Sublimator was uniformity than in"Z"Type Sublimator, less vortex and less impacts between cut tobacco and wall of Sublimator. The conclusion can be used to guide the design of Sublimator or reconstruct the system. The CFD and commercial FLUENT software can improve design, enhance the design function, save manufacture expense, and shorten exploitation time.
