The numerical control (NC) technology is the developing direction of manufacturing. Numerical Control Machine is a kind of mechanical-electrical integration. It is an important part of high-new technology. In recent years, the numerical control technology, in constant with development and progress, especially the virtual machine tool (VMT), which is a new technology going with the development of numerical control technology, is one of the key technologies of NC. It possesses enormous economic benefits and widest application outlook, so it has been one of the most popular subjects which have studied all the time.The focal point of the subject is to adopt Windows as the developing platform,choose VC++,OpenGL as the developing instruments .According to the technology of virtual modeling based on configration,a new theory of transfer models expounded and its process of realization. The speed of the model construction has been raised by adopting Unigraphics, 3DSMAX, and redrawing technique. And then the virtual simulation interface has been developed based on the configuration technology, could adapted different simulation process requirements flexibility.The thesis made a useful attempt on configuration modeling of VMT,parts of virtual cylindrical grinder have been modeling and a simulation platform has been built based on the configuration technology.
