In recent years,calixarene has attracted wide attention in supramoleeular chemistry. Calixarene shows the important role as a new generation of supramolecular receptor in many fields of research and applications because of its special structure and easily modified cavity characteristics.In this paper,calix[4]arene is used as a building block, and series of calix[4]arene derivatives are designed and synthesized,and their binding properties towards metal cations,anions and amino acids are studied.Firstly,series of calix[4]arene aza-crown ether and its relative derivatives are synthesized,including open-chain and bridging structures,such as ester,amide,schiff base and thiourea derivatives.Metal cation extraction experiments demonstrate that calix[4]arene derivatives with amide and thiourea and ester units shows good extraction property towards tested cation,especially Ni2+and Ag+ and Hg2+and Pb2+.Anions recognition experiments demonstrate that calix[4]arene derivatives with amide and thiourea units shows good extraction properties towards-OOC(CH2)4COO- and derivatives with amide and ester towords CH3COO-.UV-vis spectrum is used to study the binding property of calix[4]arene derivatives towards series of metal cations and anionics,and their binding constants are calculated.The results show that they possess good complexation abilities towards metal cation and anionic,and 1:1 complex is formed between host and guest.
