Quality of tool is one of the decisive factors of machining equipment run long time and work well. Traditional flat rake milling insert has not been meeting with production requirement gradually. It is necessary that designed and developed a new type of tool with low milling force and temperature. It is a trend that flat rake milling insert is replaced by milling Insert with 3 dimension complex groove, but the type of milling Insert with 3 dimension complex groove is less at present, also the groove is determined by experience and it's research method is limited. This thesis construct the CA algorithm of irregular gradient hot source on the anterior surface of milling insert with 3 dimension complex groove, which is based on the milling test, also combining with the Cellular Automata theory, heat transfer theory and cutting theory; then simulation analyse the temperature field distribution and achieve temperature field of milling insert based CA algorithm.The content of the thesis is show as below:1.Use infrared heat imaging apparatus and piezoelectric dynamometer apparatus make synchronous measure milling force and temperature come true in the milling test; do orthogonal test aim at variant cutting parameter, and analyse how do these parameters affect on milling force and temperature, this provided test data for CA model.2.This paper establish temperature transfer model of milling insert utilize heat transfer theory and cutting theory, According to the Fourier's heat transfer conduction and the difference theory and combine with measured data, temperature field model of irregular gradient hot source on the anterior surface of milling insert based CA algorithm is deduced. 3.Under VC++ environment and combine with MATLAB mixed program, implement the temperature field program of irregular gradient hot source on the anterior surface of milling insert based CA algorithm, and built up emulate system model.4.Then the calculational datas were displayed visually utilize Origin software, fitting each moment's temperature distribution of anterior surface of milling insert by using this software, compared with milling experiment data, the results received from this system can meet the expectated precision. The result of validate test prove that research temperature field of milling insert utilize CA algorithm is practicable.
