In the present industrial production of hydrogen peroxide, anthraquinone process is still the primary method. Catalysts were not applied into the oxidation of anthrahydroquinone, however, oxidation catalyst can obviously increase the reaction rate of anthrahydroquinone, therefore can reduce the production cost and improve the production efficiency. In this thesis, catalytic oxidation effect of 2-ethylanthrahydroquinone by organic amines was studied.A trickling fixed bed reactor was applied in the hydrogenation of 2-ethylanthraquinone working solution. 2-ethylanthraquinone working solution and hydrogen gas cocurrently flow from the top down through the bed reactor, which was packed with Pd/Al2O3 (Pd%: 0.28%~0.32%). And the hydrogenation efficiency is 7.9g·L-1 under the condition which reaction temperature is 60℃, the pressure is 0.25MPa, the space velocity of working solution and hydrogen gas is 2.66h-1and 13.32h-1, respectively. The effect of external diffusion of oxgen gas had been basically eliminated in the oxidation of 2-ethylanthrahydroquinone while the stirring rate is 2750 r·min-1 in the condition which the reaction temperature is 50℃and the flow of air is 1.0L·min-1 under the atmospheric pressure. In this way, catalytic oxidation effect of 2-ethylanthrahydroquinone by six organic amines was determinated, and it was found that secondary amine especially di-n-octylamine could successfully catalyze this oxidation. In this thesis, oxidation kinectics equation was established by expontential model as follows:The oxidatin rate of anthrahydroquinone increases by organic amines, however, it decreases by acid compounds such as phosphoric acid. It was found that the rate-determining step in this oxidation is the hydrogen elimination from anthrahydroquinone, which can successfully explain the mechanism that the organic amines catalyze this oxidation. The effect of organic amines on the hydrogenation of anthraquinone working solution and the extraction of oxidized working solution was determinated. It was found that there is no effect of organic amines on both processes. So, organic amines can be applied in the study of the integration of the oxidation and the extraction processes, the results can provide the basis data for the study of the catalytic production of hydrogen peroxide by the integration technique.
