The curve grinding machine tools are widely used, in operation, but there are so many problems such as relatively excessive errors of positioning and clamping, low productivity, long period in the adjustment of the machine tool and fixtures and poor surface finish of the ground part etc. In this paper, from analyzing the mentioned shortcomings, a new grinding principle named five-axis numerical controls curve-grinding machine was studied and the hardware physical and electrical system of five-axis numerical controls curve grinding machine were designed. Specifically a consumer great procedure was carried out for the characteristic of system and the need of machining.In this paper, the necessity and the usability of studying this topic were proved necessary by summarizing and analyzing the development of the numerical control system and numerical control grinding machine. Based on the detailed analysis of the grinding principle, a new style five-axis numerical control curve-grinding machine structural and the movement pattern were designed, by analyzing various motion relations. On analyzing the system control function and fully utilizes existing market resources, the FANUC 0i-MA system is the best choose to meet all needs.Based on the characteristics of the FANUC 0i-MA system and function of the curve-grinding machine, overall control circuit of this machine tool was designed in this paper, as well as the PLC software programming process. Base on actual conditions, analyzing the shortcomings of FANUC 0i-MA system, the thought of new type three-point circular arcs rennin grand procedure based on the polar coordinate was brought forward, a grand procedure developing process was accomplished. When spacing is smaller between adjoin points, highlights the processing arbitrarily curve function.According to the demands of the high-accuracy to curve grinding machine, in the servo system's analysis, no difference compensating way was introduced. Analyzing all kinds of factors affecting process accuracy, the produces the matrix and principle analysis that ensure the actual trajectory of emery wheel and the theory trajectory had no bad coincidence.
