Computer aided selective assembly is a method that is used for reducing change range of closing link deviation and enhancing assembly precision by making use of computer and valid arithmetic by reasonable selection of component link size of assembly size chain. Taking the engine parts as the studying object, aiming to working over the multi-objective optimization problem of selective assembly, and to developing the software system of selective assembly based on the ant colony algorithm(ACA). This is a multi-parameter and large sample optimization problem of multi-objective.Based on analyzing the characteristic of the engine assembly and the problem in the fitting process, build the architecture of the selective assembly system oriented to engine assembly, and using the IDEF method to build the function modeling and data modeling of the selective assembly system. According to the content mentioned above, accomplish the design of database.There mostly exists selective assembly model of single-assembly dimension chain in computer aided selective assembly theories. According to those theories above, the multi-assembly dimensional chain optimization model is presented. Taking the engine parts as the object, "Parallel selective assembly method" and "main-minor selective assembly method" are proposed to solve optimized selective assembly for multi-assembly chains.According to the principle of the ant colony algorithm, make a study of the ACA application on the single-assembly and the multi-assembly dimension chain. Comparing ACA with simulated annealing algorithm and analyzing the experiment result, we know that the ACA can obtain the better quality of assembly.Lastly, the development and application of the selective assembly system oriented to engine assembly is achieved. The development setting of the system is described; the application and program of the system module is accomplished.
