In order to meet demands of the tertiary oil recovery technology,we study anti-brine polyacrylamide(PAM) with high molecular weight.The application result of this kind of PAM solution prepared with oilfield production water is same as that of PAM solution prepared with fresh water.This not only resolves discharge of waste water,but also relieves cost of fresh water consumption.It gets marvelous effect on enchancing oil recovery with better economic and social benefits.In this study,we decrease the initial temperature of the polymerization,using a complex initiating system . Therefore , the reaction rate and tempeerture can be controlled reasonably.The increased PAM chain length improves the viscosity of PAM aqueous solution significantly.During the polymerization,we introduce a sort of anti-brine functional monomer,aiming at increasing the rigidity and hydrodynamics dimension of the PAM to improve anti-brine ability.The aqueous solution of PAM systhetized in this study,at low concentration and in high salinity,presents excellent viscosifying ability.At the same time,the flooding efficiency of the PAM solution prepared with oilfield production water is most satisfactory.After analyzing characteristics of various polymerization techniques,we realiaze the large-scale industrialization with 12tons/vessel,using after-hydrolysis copolymerization of acrylamide and anti-brine monomer.The industrial product with 3000 million molecular weight has good solubility,can be prepared with oilfield production water.Our study results indicate that the systhyzing technology of anti-brine PAM with high molecular weight is successful.Furthermore,we make achievements in determinating polymeric formula,technological process of medium experiments and technological parameters,and realizing trial production and large-scale industrialization.At present,anti-brine PAM with high molecular weight has been widely used in Daqing oilfield.The total amount is up to 15.8 million tons,which increased oil 3005 tons and saved cost of fresh water adding up to 1.296 billion yuan.
