Polymer flooding technique and various allied technique have been gradually improved. Besides, the scale of polymer flooding is getting bigger year by year. Therefore, polymer flooding has been the key technique support for maintaining high production and improving the level of oil-field development for Daqing oilfield in later high water-cut stage. In Xingbei development area, industrialized polymer flooding blocks have begun to be put into production since November 2001. Five of them have been carried on polymer flooding up to now and the others will be put into production year after year. Summarizing production characters of the blocks that have been putted into production and forecasting the future production of these blocks are significant to direct the development of sequent industrialized polymer flooding blocks in Xingbei development area, to plan the off-take potential of the whole Xingbei area reasonably and to realize the continuance of production.Through statistics and summary of a great deal of geologic materials and field data, this paper has given out the input and output characters of the five polymer flooding blocks in Xingbei development area and analyzed the main geological factors and injection system that affect the development effect. Through mathematical modeling and laboratory physical experiments, this paper has established rate prediction model for the whole process of polymer flooding on the basis of displacement characteristics method and material balance method. After verifying the above two forecasting models, variation rules of water cut and oil production as well as ultimate recovery of the five polymer flooding blocks in Xingbei development area have been forecasted. Finally, the results of recovery enchanced is evaluated, production of the five blocks in the next six years is analyzed, and then according to the different development period of polymer flooding, corresponding adjustment suggestions are given.Both of the forecast results of the displacement characteristics forecast model and the material balance forecast model for the whole process of polymer flooding established by this paper can meet the demands of precision. Therefore, the forecast results provide an important basis for evaluating the development effect of the polymer flooding blocks in Xingbei development area.
