The 600Kt/a diesel hydrogenation unit of Daqing Refining and Chemical Company was thoroughly studied. By analyzing daily data of diesel yield and energy consumption collected from January 2007 to Jaunary 2008 with SPSS(Statistics Package for Social Science)statistic software and treating the data with stepwise regression analysis, a mathematic modle predicting the diesel yield and energy consumption under various operating conditions was established and tested. It can be concluded through the analysis that the energy consumption is largely affected by the loading of the plant. It is not related to the feed's solidifying point but partly to the product's solidifying point, the compostion of the raw material and ambient temperature. According to the result predicted by the diesel yield mathematic model, diesel yield is mostly affected by the product's solidifying point and the raw material's solidifying point. On the other hand, in the diesel yield mathematics model under the different operation conditions, the diesel yield is controlled by the outlet temperature of the furnace, which is partly connected with the product's solidifying point, load of the plant, the ratio of raw material and the outlet temperature of the reactor 1. Factors such as the bottom temperature of the fractiontor, the raw material's solidifying point and the outlet temperature of reactor 2 and the top temperature of the fractiontor was not related to diesel's yield. This model has been tested with actual data obtained in the Feburary of 2006, the result showed that the model can not only precisely predict the actual production, but also have the extending potential. Application of the model can turn the company's management from experiential type to quantative one, which is helpful to improve the company's competing ability.
