As a new type of "Green Adhesive", uv-curable adhesive applied in the production of LCD has become the market demand. Aiming at the pipelining of LCD, combining the advantages of UV curing, developing UV curing which can be used to LCD assembling has a certain theoretical meaning and important use-value.The performance of adhesive such as curing speed, surface tension, adhesion, thermal stability, resistance to weather, water and causticity and so on in free radical, cationic and free radical-cationic system in this paper. Discussed the influence of curing system, component, curing degree, additives on the adhesive strength chiefly. Discussed three systems coordination effect and adhesion theory, and searched for the relationship between structure and properties. This paper also studied the influence of the curing process to material and acquired the best curing process under laboratory condition. Moreover, used dual-curing system to optimize uv-curing system. Effect of dual-curable system on properties of adhesive was studied and curing mechanism was discussed. On the basis, the adhesive composition was formulated, and synthetic performance was tested.Types and amount of prepolymer is the most important factor on the adhesive.BR543M and 828EL were selected and the ratio is 7:3 (50% of the total).Monomer is another factor.IBOA,TPGDA and OC1005 were used ,the ratio is 5:2:3(45% of the total). Photoinitiator influenced the curing speed and the cured degree. ITX and 432 were chosed and the best ratio is 2:3.Shrinkage percentage is the major factor on the adhesion strength, determined by the contraction percentage. Some additives can help to enhance the adhesion. Dual-curable system can improve properties of adhesive.By mass experiment, UV curable adhesive which has good stickness, highreactivity and rapid curing was developed.
