AEO-3,AEO-7,AEO-9 and SDBS were employeed as the emulsifiers of Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane. The type and the ratio of emulsifiers were determined for the preperation of stable silicone emulsion. Through the method of continuous titration, 50g of methacrylate, butyl acrylate,acylic-acid and initiator should be dropped into100g stable silicone emulsion ,then silicone modified acrylate emulsion could be prepared, the optimized process condition was also discussed. The properties of six kinds of silicone-acrylate emulsion samples were designed to compare with agents of organo-siliconthe,paraffin,organo-fluoride.The results showed : When the mass ratio of SDBS and AEO-3,AEO-7,AEO-9 was 1:0.6:0.7:0.4, stable silicone emulsion could be prepared. The optimized process condition of silicone modified acrylate emulsion could be prepared when the dropping time of monomer was 180min,the temperature was 60℃,the contents of initiator was 0.6%~0.7%(based on monomer mass), the stirring rate was 200~400rpm. Finished fabric showed the results that the water repellent of fabric finished by silicone-acrylate emulsion reached 2~3 grade, higher than organo-silicon agent, slightly lower than paraffin agent, lower than organo-fluoride agent. Finished fabric washed 20 times showed that the water repellent of Fabric finished by silicone-acrylate emulsion reached 2 grade, higher than organo-fluoride agent and paraffin agent, lower than organo-fluoride agent. Hardness of fabric finished by silicone-acrylate emulsion became higher with the Tg(theoretical value). Whiteness of fabric finished by silicone-acrylate emulsion and other chemical agents was almost unchanged.
