In recent years,with the air pollution and environmental protection has drawn more and more attention,the traditional packaging and printing industry which has a high VOC emission is facing tremendous pressure to transform,therefore the position of flexible printing and water-based ink gradually increased.As a water-based ink binder,acrylic resin was favored by printing industry because of its simple synthesis,high molecular weight and excellent weather resistance,oil resistance and high glossiness.However,there are still some disadvantages for the conventional acrylic resin.The use of macromolecules as emulsifiers in conventional emulsion polymerization is an effective means for obtaining water-based polymer dispersions with improved colloidal properties.In this paper,the synthesis of acrylate copolymer emulsion was synthesized by semi continuous emulsion polymerization with macromolecular functional monomer as a large molecular emulsifier.The effect of macromolecular functional monomer,polymerization monomer and polymerization process on the stability of emulsion polymerization was investigated.The synthesized emulsion was prepared into ink and the influence of emulsion formula and test conditions for water-based ink were studied.The main contents in our work are as follows:1.Emulsions were prepared at the reaction temperature of 80?85 ? by semi continuous emulsion polymerization.In this system,we use monomer A,B as soft monomer,C as hard monomer,macromolecular functional monomer as macromolecule emulsifier and SPS as initiator,DAAM and ADH as crosslinking monomers to synthesize a series of acrylate emulsion.The emulsion formula,such as the type of conventional emulsifier,the type and dosge of macromolecular functional monomer,the type and dosage of the neutralizer,the ratio of the monomers,the types of hard monomers and functional monomers,the effects of the type of the pH buffer and the process condition on the stability of the emulsion polymerization were studied.DMA and TEM were used to characterize the emulsions.This method can be used to synthesize acrylate emulsion with an average particle size below 100nm and good water resistance.After adjusting the formula,a emulsion with better comprehensive performance was synthesized.2.The properties such as adhesion,scratch resistance,rubbing resistance,heat-resistant stability,water resistance and drying performance based on flexographic printing plastic film are carried out.The effects of emulsion formula or test process on these properties are investigated.3.The semi continuous emulsion polymerization method was used to synthesize two acrylate emulsions with high and low vitrification temperature emulsion prepared by macromolecular functional monomer.A compound emulsion with better performance is obtained by mixing of the two emulsions,and with the performance advantages of adhesion,friction resistance,rubbing resistance,scratch resistance,recovery and leveling retained,the resistance to adhesion was improved.
