Analysis On Environmental Impact Of Sea Patrol Base Construction On Dalian Bay

Dalian Bay located at the southern tip of Liaodong Peninsula in north of the Yellow sea, which is a semi-enclosed natural Gulf. To solve the problems that long time patrol ships having no dedicated mooring in Dalian Bay, Liaoning Maritime Safety Administration establish a sea patrol base at the southern tip of the Mianhua Island in the north shore of Dalian Bay. It can enhance the efficiency of search and rescue at sea and protect the safety of the passing ships. However, the construction and operation will have a negative impact on the sea condition of the territorial area, endanger the ecological environment.Dalian Bay is surrounded by Dalian Port, Dayaowan and several wharfs and so on. It has great significance to forecast the scope and extent of the environmental effect by building a patrol base, and to prevent or reduce the negative influences. It is indispensable to protect and control the sea area environment.According to the investigation on the condition of water resources, pollution sources on land and sea area environment, this text evaluates the effects of the construction on the environment, analyzes the influences on water power, water quality and settlings during the operating period, investigate the impacts and dangers of the ecological environment, predicts the contributions of the construction to the marine environment, explores its ability to reach the demands of the overall amount of environmental function program in Dalian Bay , and raises measurements to prevent or reduce the adverse effects.In this paper, the mathematical model method is employed on the evaluation of water power, water quality and environmental impact in the process of dredging. The qualitative analysis is used to assess the marine environment. The results show that the pollution of suspended substance caused by the construction is a temporary, which will disappear after the project. The ecological environment can be gradually restored within a certain period of time. It won't be long-term negative impact on the environment. In the process of operating a range of coastal water quality, settlings and sea ecological environment will be affected, and it has little effect on the open sea.
