Applied Study On The Body Cream With Oil Tea Seed Oil

The fatty acid composition, decolorization, and the application of oil tea seed oil used for body cream were studied systematically in this thesis research.During the course of study, after the decolorizing condition of oil tea seed oil for cosmetics was determined, the optimal formulation and preparation technology of body cream with oil tea seed oil were selected.The sanitation and safety indices were also measured. Based on that, the body cream made of oil tea seed oil was tested with different populations to evaluation the efficacy. The primary end point of the efficacy was achieved.The thesis mainly includes five topics:1,Study of the decolorizing condition of oil tea seed oil the study determined that the best condition of decolorization is with 3% activated clay at 110℃for 25 minutes after Alkali refining of oil tea seed oil. Compared to that under atmospheric condition, decolorization under vacuum condition is more effective.2,Chemical and physical analyses of oil tea seed oil The physical and chemical characteristics and the composition of the fatty acids in oil tea seed oil were studies after the refining process of oil tea seed oil.The study showed that physical and chemical characteristics are the special gravity 0.913, the color measure Y4.0 R0.1, the refractive index 1.467, the acid value 3mgKOH/g, the peroxide value 3mmol/kg, the iodine value 84g/100g, the quantity of soap 0.003%, and the smoke point 205℃.These results meet the requirement needed for cosmetics and medicine. The fatty acids in oil tea seed oil included 79.44% oleic acid, 9.12% linoleic acid, 9.55% palmitic acid, 0.16% stearic acid, and 1.05% linolenic acid.The data will provide the theoretical basis for utilization of oil tea seed oil used for body cream. 3,Determination of the formulation and technological conditions of body cream with oil tea seed oil The formulation and technological conditions of the body cream with oil tea seed oil were determined using appearance characters, viscosity, centrifugation stability, heat resistance, and cold tolerance as appraisal index. The results showed that the best formulation of the body cream with oil tea seed oil is 12% oil tea seed oil, 3% hexadecanol, 4% polysorbate-80, 5% glycerol monotearate, 3% cilicone oil, 1.5% lanolin, 5% glycerol, and 60% water plus small amount of fragrance and the antioxidant. The experiment study showed that the quantity of oil tea seed oil had the most influence to the characteristics of the body cream, while the quantity of silicon oil had the least impact. The study also indicated that the best technological conditions of the body cream with oil tea seed oil were the emulsification temperature at 75℃, the emulsification time for 40 minutes, and the stir velocity of 1000 r/min with the mixed headed method for the emulsification.4,Measurement of the sanitation index of the body cream with oil tea seedoil The study quantitatively measured As, Hg, Pb, methanol, and bacteria(including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Faecal coliform).The results met the national standards, indicating the body cream with oil tea seed oil is safe and usable.5,Evaluation of the usage of the body cream with oil tea seed oil Theevaluation study was carried out for 3 months with 30 people.The study was focus on spreadabality, moisture retention, roughness, flexural strength, and whitening effect. The data were recorded on the daily basis.The overall analysis indicated that the body cream with oil tea seed oil has excellent functionality of the usage.
