In the course of slab hot rolling, temperature is the important factor that affects product performance and template and thickness precision and reasonable distribution of mill load. Many factors that affect temperature of rolled piece exist during rolling, how to control exactly and uniformly finishing and coiling temperature impacts greatly on product performance after milling. Determining temperature system of rolling process is the important content of rolling technology, so temperature of rolled piece during rolling must be controlled and optimized in order to improve the quality of final products. Studying temperature field of band steel in the course of rolling has important significance on improving cooling system. Rolling in ferrite district is new production technology of hot-strip, has many advantages and may increase obviously processability in rolling especially deep punching steel. According to local production condition, it is achieved by ANSYS simulating that include temperature field of rolled piece cross section during rolling and surfaced and central temperature of rolled piece in any time. The result has great action on making technology regulations and cooling system and is a basis of controlling structure property of band steel. The major conclusion are as follows:Reliability of the simulating results is verified by comparing with the measured steel belt temperatures. Central temperature of rolled piece falls slowly after descaling, but surfaced temperature falls rapidly and has the tendency of recovery soon. During rolling surfaced temperature falls rapidly because of contact thermal conductivity, temperature difference between surface and center of rolled piece is about 160℃, and soon temperature difference becomes small by thermal diffusion after rolling. Additionally, during rolling central temperature of rolled piece increases a little because of deformation heat, but it is descending integrally.In the region of laminar cooling, surfaced temperature falls rapidly because of heat convection, central temperature has the tendency of falling. From laminar cooling end to batching, rolled piece is in the air cooling condition, surfaced temperature has great recovery because of temperature difference and thermal conductivity, and temperature difference between surface and center of rolled piece becomes gentle. In this interval, temperature gradient in the rolled piece is more and more obscure. To coiler, the temperature in entire rolled piece has tended to even, but temperature difference between surface and center of rolled piece is apparent.By simulating temperature field of rolled piece in ferrite rolling process, temperature field of rolled piece cross section is obtained from stock to finish product and can be used for analysing structure property and residual stress.
