Although Nitrile Rubber (NBR) has been widely used in sealing products, the processing property was not very well because of its acrylonitrile structure. In order to improve the problem, Low Mooney viscosity NBR was synthesised.But the application of Low Mooney viscosity NBR in the high-temperature, high-dynamic condition were limited. In order to enhance strength, high temperature resistantce and high dynamic property of Low Mooney viscosity NBR, a series of researches were investigated in this paper, such as optimization of curing system, application of resin, organically modified montmorillonite (OMMT), the hydrogenated nitrile-butadiene rubber (HNBR), the influence of magnesium methacrylate (Mg(MAA)2) and resins on adhesion of NBR-metal. Besides, the preparation, morphology and application of resin/OMMT /LXNBR nano-composite was studied..Followed contents have been studied in this paper:(1) The curing system of NBR was optimized. Results showed that semi-effective sulfur vulcanization system was more suitable Tc90 and processing time. When sulfur and accelerator were same content of 1.4-1.8 phr, NBR has excellent physical and aging performance.(2) Modification of NBR was studied and results showed that resin and DOP were both effective plasticizers of NBR. Resin could soften NBR and did not affect other properties of blends. When the resin content increased, the speed of vulcanization became slower. The blends of NBR/resin had the best comprehensive performance when the proportion of S-105/7530E/G-25 was 3/8/6. Aging property of NBR/ HNBR was also studied and it is found that when the HNBR content was 10 phr, the property was best.(3) The application of OMMT and N550 in NBR was investigated. Compared with N550, the blends of OMMT/NBR had better processing property. The excellent performance of blends was gained when the content of OMMT was 20 phr.(4) Researching on the adhesion of NBR-metal, the adhesion strength and physical properties became better with increasing the content of Mg (MAA)2, a best adhesion was gained with 11 phr Mg (MAA)2. In NBR/resin adhesion system, compared with D-RS and S-105, the effect of SP1068 was best, and there were best adhesion and mechanical properties with 6.2 phr SP1068.(5) The resin/OMMT/LXNBR nano-composites was prepared firstly by Solution-Fusion intercalation. Through optimizing preparation process by experiments, the best preparation processing was found and the interlay spacing of OMMT was expanded to 5 run. Through SEM, X-RD and Polarized Light Microscopy characterization, it was obvious that OMMT was intercalated by resin. Studying on mechanical and processing properties, the results showed that there was the best intercalation effect when the blending proportion of OMMT/PF was 20/35.(6) Compared with N330/NBR blends, the composite-material of PF/OMMT/ LXNBR/NBR has better static and dynamic mechanical properties.
