Study On The Current Situation And Problems Of Building Ecological Civilization In Rural Areas

The political report emerging from the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) mentioned for the first time that we need to"build an ecological civilization as one of the goals in the developing of a moderately prosperous society in all respects", that is a new progress of the socialist modernization construction led by the Party. However, the current environmental protection progress in rural areas is far behind the requirement of ecological civilization. It falls short of the people's expectations to live in better environment and can't keep pace with building new socialist rural areas and a moderately prosperous society in all respects. Currently, there is few systematic analysis and research about the current situation, the present problems and the ways of fulfillment of building ecological civilization in the rural areas.In this paper, using various methods, such as systematic survey, data analysis, case study and theory research, we disclose the seriousness of environmental pollution and the urgency to build the ecological civilization by analyzing the current situation of ecological environment in the rural areas. Comparing the present problems, we try to find the direct and deep causes of the problems. We try to combine the mechanism building, technical methods and social promotion into one unit to build the rural ecological civilization. We systematically propose some effective ways to help control the pollution and eventually achieve the sustainable development of the vast rural areas.
