Texture Research On Tussah Silk Based On Kansei Engineering

As treasured gem, silk is highly regarded as an indispensable part of voluminous Chinese cultures, and tussah silk in particular holds its exclusive position for its crude plainness. However, although manufactured in China domestic, tussah silk is dumping into foreign export market instead. Inadequate recognition, deficient research devotions and defective marketing efforts contributes the most to inferior market shares of this unique tussah silk.Living in a world in which functional practicability gradually concedes to perceptual satisfaction, product designs begin to emphasize emotional representations more than their functionality, and to catch consumers'feelings and understand their preferences claims no more delays. Kansei engineering is narrowly applied to domestic costume industry, and current researching on tussah silk is still absorbed in traditional physical and chemical properties, which proposed little constructive guidance in further product design. To get more closer to end customer and more nearer to the designer's originality to"read the heart, understand the heart and create by the heart".This thesis will help to investigate on tussah silk through a utterly new but trustworthy insights on its perceptual feeling orientation including visions, touchings and other sensories for if there is any deviations among the three. This research will base on Kansei engineering to category 3 different sensory experience to numerize senses of humanbeing and finally come to conclusion through physical statistic analysis, all of which we believe will definitely do as a reference for future design and research on tussah silk product and slopworks,through which we also expect to exert our contribution to the protection and development of this Green agricultrue.
