In recent years solar energy use of new technologies, new material has become a hot research and development at home and abroad. Black glass material costs low, and have high absorption rate to the sunlight, easily integrate with existing glass in solar applications. Black glass is great potential.Based on the simple introduced black glass on the application, introduced and comparison of the existing glass coloring, final select tinting of ion as the subject of black glass manufacturing method, identified by the use of borosilicate glass as the black glass matrix. Next on the experimental process of glass production, processing parameters, and the experimental production of the single-ion colored glass and complex -ion colored glass, introduced their light transmission curve of the test result. By analyzing the transition Metal ions 3d electronic track for the transition metal ions, colored glass are classified. Use coordination field theory to explain the black glass coloring principle, and the use of coordination field theory, we derive the formula right Colored Glass factors were analyzed.According to the single-ion colored glass spectral transmittance curve analysis concluded on the basis of the use of Co, Cr, Cu ion as a coloring agent can be a black glass, on this basis can add Fe and Ni ions to regulate Co, Cu ion content. The use of ion coloring agent mol percentage of the extent of the Co: 0.1%~3%, Cr: 0.1%, Cu: 0.5%~4%, Fe: 0%~2%, Ni: 0%~2%. Doping mole fraction of 1% Co ions, ion 1% Cr, 2% Cu ion produced by the black glass transmission solar energy may be as low as 0.3% on the quality of the atmosphere to 1.5. Increase (decrease) with the ion coloring dosage can lead to a corresponding decrease (increase) in sunlight energy transmittance. According the analysis of experimental results, we summed up of the reflect-absorption-transmission formulas law of light in color glass. Use of the formulas to calculate the different concentration of the ion-doped glass coloring spectral transmittance curve and the experimental results are very close.
