Pump belongs to fluid machine and plays a important part in the transportation of industrial medium. It also consumes energy sources at the same time. So improving pump capability is very important to saving energy and benefit of corporation. There, the pump that design is to transport pulp. Owing to the medium is pulp so tht pump design by double channel impeller. Then, using CFD to simulate and calculate the pump which design.Firstly, there is particular introduction of design means. Using PUMPCAD to devise the midline of impeller flow passage. Entity sculpt and pump case using UG to design.Secondly, the structure of CFD and the process of simulation is interpreted. And combining with FLUENT software, the govern equations, turbulence models, methods of discretization, discretization schems and solutions of discrete equations, which are used in simulations of flow field in turbo machinery, are analyzed.Then use fluent to simulate and calculate impeller of the pump that design and analyse with CFD to the whole including impeller and volute. By analysing flow of impeller, find out the factor which affect the efficiency of pump. this is basis in the ameliorating of pump design. By analyse flow of whole including impeller and volute, find out the flow distributing in the pump volute.And then, according to the result of flow simulation, Using some measure to ameliorate the impeller flow passage , Subsequently make use of CFD to simulate and calculate the ameliorating impeller flow passage. By compareing the variety, provide a way to ameliorate the Double Channel Impeller Pulp Pump.Finally, aiming at the difficulty in the design and experience which find in the simulation, some design technologies are summarized. And puts some outlook.
