The determination of the process parameters of electric upsetting is a complex problem because they have effects on each other. Eligible products could be manufactured only on the condition that all the parameters could be matched each other. Traditional electric upsetting machine's automatization and intelligence are very poor. It has some limitations because it can't modify the process paremeters during processing. Based on investigating and technical testing, the electric upsetting process has been researched comprehensively. After that, a servo electric upsetting control system has been put forward, which is drived by AC servo motors instead of fluid, and the key parameters can be controled in the process.Based on the electric upsetting technology, this paper analyzed the limitations of the traditional electric upsetting machine, then introduced the overall structure and Processing course of the new servo electric upsetting machine. According to electric upsetting requirement, the hareware structure of the system has been designed with the priciple of the open servo system. In which, the parts of the system have been introduced in detail, such as performer, parameters detection, feedback components, electrical switch and data exchange interface. To widen adjustive scope of the heating current and enhance adjustive accuracy,we have designed phase trigger AC adjustive voltage.The electrical upsetting is a complex controlled obejection who has many inputs and outputs,and the variable of whom coupling with each other. To realize the development and the supervise of the system, We used the configuration software-ViSiDAQ.We have designed the working interface and part of control strategies to control the process of the electrical upsetting.This paper demonstrates the Fuzzy PID control algorithm for the heating current, which is one of the most important parameters.The algorithm, which is adaptable and stable, can make full use of the former knowledge of the workers and suit for non-linear process,then actualize the intelligent and automatic control of the electical upsetting.Through experiment proof, the servo electric upsetting control system is completely feasible, only need to carry out more thorough research.
