Mechanics of materials is the transition from the basis theory to technical engineering, which is not only traditional mechanics- based disciplines, but also a modern project disciplines closed to the actual engineering. With the importance on improving the stidents'practical ability and innovation, mechanics of materials laboratory course is a very close-kint to actual engineering's course, which must be held of by the engineering undergraduate. In recent years, the mechanics of materials experimental teaching reform to openness, independence and innovativeness, but because of the specificity of its own, making the actual teaching still has the two main problems: first ,in order to keep the safety of the equipment and students, most experiments at university, open, independent and innovation, are limited to the small range and carried out very few on the top; second ,they are specific to concrete experiment designed to create a dedicated small experimental device to decrease the cost, but this type of devices usually can only complete the verifiable experiment. These two issues caused by the consequences make students no hands-on experiments to test .With the lack of the interest, the effects of experimental teaching greatly reduced. As a result, so that students can not carry out experiment by himself, with the lack of interest in experiments, the effect of experiment teaching is great redecing.Therefor,building the flexible mechanics of materials experiment platform which it not only makes students carry out experiment by themselves, but also effectively monitors the equipments running is very important.The flexible experimental platform of mechanics of materials display four aspects: opening of experimental content, opening of experimental time, opening of experimental equipment and its managing. Base on this platform, the students not only carry out conventional experimental content of mechanics of materials, but also complete innovative experiment by themselves. In the whole experiment's process, the teacher guides students and doesn't interfere students how to complete experiment. It is important to improve experimental opening of mechanics of materials, independence and innovativeness.The paper aims at constructing the flexible mechanics of materials experiment platform, and solves three problems as follows: First, using the bottom development documents providing by the manufacturers and combining the network communication technology, this paper completes the software design to control the testing machine which is simple to learn and to use for students and can easily transport data from testing machine to web sever. Second, this paper constructs a net control platform which makes teachers monitor the status of experiment real-timely when students use the testing machine and guide students from foreground to background, the using of net control platform not only gives full play to student's subjective initiative, but also alleviates teacher's workload; Third, this paper builds a net auxiliary platform . This platform professes students for the rationale of the mechanics of materials experiments ,the experiment process and the application methods of the machine, and provides a experiment reserving platform for students, which can not only make students select experiments in the lesson plan freely, but also allow students to apply innovativeness experiment designed by themselves. The using of the net auxiliary platform further enhances the openness, autonomy and innovation of the experiment, and improves effective of the mechanics of materials experiment's teaching.
