This thesis focus on enduing silk fabric functional modification by natural plant aloe, in order to improve the anti-UV function and antibacterial performance of the silk fabric without damaging its original outstanding performance, which provided theoretical base for study on the functional finishing of textile fabrics with natural plant extracts. The ethanol extracts of aloe were firstly made by using ultrasonic technology in this paper, and came to the conclusion that the principal components were anthraquinones contents. The extraction process was explored and got a better extraction conditions. Then the silk fabrics were treated with the ethanol extracts of aloe, experimental results show that the finished silk fabric has good antibacterial performance. The findings indicated that the antibacterial and anti-UV performance of the silk fabric enhanced distinctly. The silk fabric's UPF value can raise to 66 from 6.5 and the inhibition rates against S. aureus and E. coli respectively reached to 79.6% and 77% when the ethanol extract of Aloe solution concentration was 8g/L.Then aloe-nanosilver colloidal solution was synthesized by a simple procedure using water logging extracts of aloe and silver-ammonia solution at ambient temperature. The nanosize silver particles were characterized and the antibacterial efficacy of aloe-nanosilver colloidal solution was determined. Then the silk fabrics were treated with the aloe-nanosilver colloidal solution, and their inhibition rates against S. aureus and E. coli reached to 99.5% and 99.7% respectively.
