As an important metal plate processing equipment, CNC hydraulic bending machines have been widely used in manufacturing industry at present. It is an urgent necessity for independent research and development advanced numerical control bending machine to satisfy the market requirement to manufacturers. According to the current situation that the CNC and hydrostatic sub-system of the bending machines are normally purchased and configurated and the technical are relatively mature,the paper selects the frame of the machine to carry on structural analysis and optimal design.At first,the paper makes analysis on the whole structure of the frame and working characteristics, obtains all parts'stress situation under the biggest working loads,the makes suitable simplification to the frame.Based on this,this paper emphatically makes statics analysis and structure optimization to the pillar of the frame.The pillar is the main part of the frame and the main target to make optimization. At first,we carry on the discrete variable structure optimization to the pillar and get the minimum thickness .Then we carry on the topology opitimization of the pillar and get the nephogram.Take this as the basis and the demands of manufacture,we redesign the structure of the pillar for the aim to reduce its weight.The paper also makes a strength check on the vertical plate in front and back under the horizontal beam.The vertical plate in front and back under the horizontal beam is the main stress part,its structural strength and stability has a significant impact on the overall stability of the benders.On the foundation of static analysis,the paper makes appropriate improvements to the slider structure and the coordinate form between the slider and the hydraulic cylinder, proposes two types of improvement programs, compares the advantages and disadvantages of the two schemes. Through these two kinds of improvements ,it reduces the strain and the stress.Through the analysis of the frame and the structural optimization design,it obtains a reasonable structure and satisfies the operation requirements,provides a feasible plan for the enterprises to improve product quality and strengthen the benefits ,has the practical application values.
