In this dissertation, several one-dimensional (1D) manganese oxides nanomaterials were prepared through self-sacrificial template synthetic route. First, one-dimensional nanostructured different crystalline MnO2 were successfully synthesized referred to a great deal of literatures as self-sacrificial templates. Then the manganese trioxides and the manganese oxyhydroxides materials were synthesized on a large scale by selecting suitable reactants, reacting systems and technology, under mild synthetic conditions. The structures and morphology were investigated by a variety of techniques, including x-ray powder diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and other modern testing techniques. In adition, explored the probability of catalytic decomposition of methylene blue soluteion with as prepared Mn2O3 nanotubes/wires respectively. The major contents can be summarized as follows:1. Single-crystal Mn2O3 nanotubes were fabricated via a simple "self-sacrificing template" route by oxidizing the precursorβ-MnO2 NTs in air.2. Single-crystal MnOOH nanotubes were prepared for the first time using single-crystallineβ-MnO2 nanotubes as self-sacrificial templates, which was prepared via the reported hydrothermal synthesis route.3. Single-crystal Mn2O3 nanowires were fabricated via a simple "self-sacrificing template" route by oxidizing the precursorβ-MnO2 nanowires in air.4. Investigate of the catalytic decomposition of methylene blue soluteion in the presence of H2O2 using the as-prepared Mn2O3 nanotubes/wires as catalyst. As aresult, the maximal decoloration rate of methylene blue solution were 85.2% and 97.94% refer to Mn2O3 nanotubes and Mn2O3 nanowires respectively.
