CLB modified paraffin-impregnated graphite electrode (CLB/WGE) was prepared by electrochemical methods. Various methods including X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), UV-spectroelectrochemistry and infrared spectra (IR) have been used to characterize CLB/WGE. CLB can be modified at the electrode surface by carbon–nitrogen or carbon–carbon linkage in 0.0 - 1.6 V or - 1.2 - 1.2 V, respectively. The electrochemical behaviors of some bio-electro-active organic molecules including dopamine (DA), norepinphrine (NE), adrenalin (EP), ascorbic acid (AA) and uric acid (UA) have been investigated, respectively. AA, EP and UA can be simultaneously determined at CLB/WGE. The mutual recognition and interactions between CLB and the bio-electro-active organic molecules were proved.Novel silver nanoparticles modified polyrutin (Ag/Ru/WGE) and silver nanoparticles polyquercetin/MWCNTs coat-paraffin-impregnated graphite electrodes (Ag/Qu/MWCNTs/Ch/WGE) were prepared using electrochemical methods. The characterization of electrode was investigated by the field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), IR, UV-visible and XPS in detail. Ag/Ru/WGE shows an overlapping catalysis towards the oxidation of Tyr and Trp compared with the bare WGE, Ru/WGE and Ag/WGE. Ag/Qu/MWCNTs/Ch/WGE shows an excellent catalysis towards the redox of CLB compared with the bare WGE and MWCNTs/Ch/WGE.Platinum-nickel (Pt-Ni) alloy nanocomposites on poly aniline coated multiwalled carbon nanotubes (PAN/MWCNTs) were prepared by electrochemical methods. The redox of carbon monoxide (CO) at a series of electrodes was studied, respectively. Among these electrodes, an increased reduction (and oxidation response) at Pt and Pt-Ni (17:1)/PAN/MWCNTs/WGE were observed with detection limit of 5.0 and 0.5μM, respectively.
