The widen-girder hydraulic supporting bracket is one of the most important devices in mechanised coal excavating. Compared with the same style of common bracket, the width can be adjusted, and the using efficiency of widen-girder bracket is about 2.2 times as the same style of common bracket, basing on detailed coal environment. It can reduce the number of bracket used to the greatest extent,and lower the manufacturing cost effectively .The 3-dimension digital model of widen-girder hydraulic supporting bracket was built up based on Pro/Engineer, and each structure of designed bracket was assembled. The conventional practical prototyping test is taken place by digital test to predict the operating performance of bracket systematically ,and finally realize optimization design, basing on analyzing software ANSYS and dynamic auto-analyzing software ADAMS of mechanical system.The equivalent displacement distortion graph and stress distributing graph of the main structure, such as top girder ,base and widen-girder, was made using finite element analyzing software ANSYS. Besides, the structure of bracket was analyzed to test if it was tallied with design requirements, basing on the graphs made above. Further, the graph was analyzed to judge if there was margin to reduce manufacturing cost after structures satisfied design requirements.The optimization design to four-bar structure was finished after the dynamic equivalent displacement, velocity, acceleration curve graph were made through simulation using software ADAMS. Besides, It is a new kind of trial and challenge to apply dynamic simulative software to the design of hydraulic bracket.It was of complement and perfection to traditional physical prototyping design method to carry out such technology of virtual prototyping through the designing and manufacturing of bracket. Besides,it was of great alteration to the bracket structure to adopt the girder-adjustive design,which was beneficial to the study of bracket to different environmental structure of coal bed and improve the efficiency.
