With the continuous innovation of computer technology in the field of automotive industry, the research and development of automotive products is changing from the traditional design concept to the design of virtual prototyping technology. The application of virtual prototyping technology makes the research and development cycle of the vehicle shorten effectively, and the production efficiency can be greatly improved. In this paper, the virtual prototype technology is studied, and applied to the design and analysis of the locomotive body system.In this paper, the traditional design and analysis methods, 3D modeling and finite element analysis technology are applied to the design of the virtual prototype of the locomotive body system. Using the traditional analysis method to carry on the mechanical analysis and the structure of the vehicle body parts, the virtual prototype technology is used to model the virtual prototype of the vehicle system and the working conditions of the related components. According to the national standard and related design principles of transportation vehicles, semi-trailer frame for workover machines structure design, and to determine the basic parameters of semi-trailer frame; Using 3D modeling software SolidWorks frame finite element simulation model is set up; According to the requirements of the transport of workover rig, the design and checking the workover rig semi-trailer balance suspension, and by using the 3D modeling software SolidWorks balanced suspension parts to establish finite element model; By using finite element analysis software ANSYS and workover machines semi-trailer frame and front bracket in finite element analysis under different working conditions, check if it satisfies the requirement of working condition of use and improvement measures are put forward.This topic using virtual prototype technology for design of workover locomotive body system modeling, simulation analysis and the related parts, to provide design scheme of low cost, safety, reference, has realistic engineering significance.
