Macroporous resin is an excellent polymeric adsorbent due to its good properties such as high mechanical strength, high selectivity, easy regeneration, and easy to be resource. Also it has been widely used in wastewater treatment, pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry, food industry, analytical chemistry, clinical identification, etc.The application of macroporous resin in the determination of Apple green in food, recovery of Sorbic acid and removal of Chloride ion from textile dyeing wastewater has been studied. The adsorption properties of macroporous resin for Apple green and Sorbic acid have been studied using batch and column techniques. Results indicate: The adsorption capacity of resin D380 and D296 for Apple green are more than the other resins under the experiment condition. Maximum adsorption is achieved at pH=3.0 in the medium of HCl-NaCl for D380 and pH=13.0 in the medium of HAc-NaOH for D296. The adsoption capacity of both resin D380 and D296 for Apple green are increased with the increasing of mass concentration of Apple green. Apple green is easily adsorbed under higher temperature. The adsorption behavior of resin D380 and D296 for Apple green obey both the Freundlich and the Langmuir isotherms under the experiment conditions. Furthermore, n value between 1
