The environmental problems have become questions of human survival and the world's development in today's society. On the basis of reading a large number of Marx and Engels's classic texts, the author in this paper gives a combing of Marx and Engels's on the relevant environmental issues, argues the main line of Marx and Engels's environmental thought—the dialectical relationship between people and nature and also expounds Marx and Engels's analysis of the origins and solutions of environmental pollution. Moreover, the author conducts a comparison between the ecological Marxism and the environmental thought of Marx and Engels and highlights the theoretical characteristics and historical contributions of Marx and Engels's environmental thought. Finally, the contemporary significance of Marx and Engels's environmental thought is expounded in the paper, which is of great theoretical and practical significance to help human overcome the mistaken conceptions and get rid of the ecological crisis to find the path of scientific development.The thesis includes five parts:Part 1 Introduction. In this part, the author introduces the content and raises the question.Part 2 Marx and Engels's environmental thoughtIn this part, the author systematically states the main content of Marx and Engels's environmental thought, including two parts—the relationship between man and nature and the relationship between nature, man and society. The author also demonstrates the main clue of Marx and Engels's environmental thought—the dialectical relationship between people and nature.Finally, the author expounds analysis of Marx and Engels to the causes that lead to environmental issue and the ways of resolving it.Part 3 Ecological Marxism—Succession and differentiation to the environmental conceptions of Marx and EngelsThe author conducts an analysis and comparison to the common characteristics and distinctions between the eco-Marxism and Marx and Engels's environmental thought and highlights the theoretical characteristics and historical contributions of Marx and Engels's environmental thought, from which we have seen some of the views has help us form the new recognitions and provide a very valuable references for studying and resolving the problems of ecological environment.Part 4 The contemporary significance of Marx and Engels's environmental thoughtThis paper expounds that the ecological environment has been deteriorating till today and Marx and Engels's environmental thought is of great theoretical and practical significance for guiding people to overcome the contemporary mistaken conception, resolve the ecological crisis and seek the path of scientific development.Part 5 ConclusionMarx and Engels's environmental thought is much beyond the times and it has eternal value. It is necessary for us to excavate and elucidate far deeply.
