Hydrogen sulfide is a kind of mephitic gas with rotten-egged odor,and it can be of great harm to humans.It even combusts and explodes easily and metals are likely to be eroded by it so that the pipelines are often blocked.Tail gas and natural gas would pollute the air terribly, even lots of resources are abandoned because of exist of low concentration of hydrogen sulfide.Because of the great harm of hydrogen sulfide to humans and environment,to remove H2 S especially low concentration of H2 S becomes an important issue that should be solved as soon as possible.The activated carbon has the abundant pore construction to accumulate with bigger surface area,It is used for the managing of air pollution.At low temperature,it mainly belongs to physical adsorption,while at high temperature,it is replaced by chemical adsorption,Impregnating activated carbon with some metal compounds can change its properties,which shows the obvious improvement of activated carbon,not only shorten the temperature of adsorption,but also increase the sulfur capacity greatly,It is concluded that changing pore structure of activated carbon is the key factor to determine the sulfur capacity.One of adsorbents we choose is activated carbon.The effects of such six factors as the variety of activated carbon,the impregnation and its proportion,the additive and its amount, the temperature of reaction on the sulfur capacity of the impregnated activated carbon have been investigated.It is concluded that the pore structure of activated carbon and variety of impregnation are the key factors to determine the sulfur capacity.The best adsorption agent is composed of GH-X activated carbon,7%NaOH as impregnation and 1%MCM-41 as additive,and its sulfur capacity may improve more double twice than common one.We choose PEI/SBA-15 as another adsorption,which is prepared by a wet impregnation method.Stirring temperature may influence its property,25℃is more suitable for stirring than 40℃and 60℃.We investigate the constitute of PEI/SBA-15 and reaction temperature, discovering wt25%and 75℃is the best reaction condition.And the process of adsorption at low temperature is controlled by spreading.What's more,it has more convenient and efficient desorption progress which has a prospect future.
