Cotton fabrics have a lot of excellent performances which people like very much.And they were widely used in clothing and textile fields.But they don't have antibacterial property in that many people research it.So the paper finished cotton fabric with nano silver-TiO2(nano-Ag/TiO2) to make it antibacterial.The paper studied the influence of dispersant's category,dosage and pH value of solution to the dispersion property of nano-Ag/TiO2.The stability of dispersed solution was characterized by using sedimentation volume experiment.The dispersion property of nano-Ag/TiO2 was characterized by Laser Size Analyzer,TEM and FTIR.The results showed that when pH value of solution was 7,the stability of dispersed solution was superior to pH value 6 and 8.PAAS had better dispersion property than other dispersants, and the dispersion property upgraded firstly and then degraded as the dosage of dispersant increasing.The optimum amount of PAAS was 0.075g.In the paper,firstly,the antibacterial property of nano-Ag/TiO2 was reseached.The results showed that the finished fabric had strong antibacterial property when its concentration arrived 150μg/ml.Secondly,single experiments were adopted to study the antibacterial functional finishing of cotton fabric with nano-Ag/TiO2.The results showed that the surface specific resistance of finished cotton fabric was highly significantly influenced by nano-powder concentration,less significantly influenced by pick-up and baking temperature.The better finishing conditions were nano-Ag/TiO2 concentration 10g/L,pick-up 120%,and baking temperature 130℃(3 min).Finished cotton fabric at the better finishing conditions,its antibacterial rate to S.aureus and E.colias was above 99%. After being washed 50 times,it was above 98%,which showed good washing resistance.The paper compared the performances of cotton fabric with the finished fabric. Finding that the frame of finished cotton fabric didn't change from FTIR,XRD and XPS. The breaking strength slightly descended,and the breaking elongation improved.The permeability,Anti-wrinkle elasticity,drape coefficient and whiteness hasn't changed much, so the performances of cotton fabric were not affected much.Finally comparing the antibacterial property of Ag,TiO2 and nano-Ag/TiO2,and reseaching the antibacterial property of nano-Ag/TiO2 in darkness,light and ultraviolet radiation.The result showed that the antibacterial property of finished cotton fabric with nano-Ag/TiO2 was best.Under ultraviolet radiation best.Because it was affected by the photocatalysis of TiO2.At the same time,analyzing Ag state in the finished fabric by XPS, finding that Ag was dissoluted to sterilize.So the antibacterial mechanism of nano-Ag/TiO2 was found that the dual effect antibacterial of Ag and TiO2.
