| China is a big agricultural country. Kitchen work and getting warm are the two main fields of life energy using. In the history, country people use biomass as their main life using energy. The use Zao and Kang as basic energy using elements. Zao is used for cooking, Kang is used for sleeping. With the development of economy in the resent years in China, great changes have taken place in the structure of life using energy in country. For example, On the one hand the straw consumption reduces the coal and the liquid gas amount used increase, but its price keeps rising. On the other hand, although some straw could be used as feed or fertilizer, there are still massive surplus straw leaving unused. In some areas farmers are required to take straw to assigned location in harvest season, but finally straw has to be burnt because piles of straw take much field. It is an effective way to solve this problem by combining biomass straw with energy using in different way in countryside.This topic takes biomass straw briquette as fuel of home-furnace. Based on the study of biomass briquette, this article focues on the burning characters of biomass briquette, process of biomass briquette burning, its model, influencing factors of its burning velocity, burning characters of fire banked, influencing factors of smoldering and slagging experiment. This article decides the design thoughts of home-furnace through the study of new needs of home-furnace and does the combustion calculation of biomass briquette, thermal efficiency, fuel consumption, chamber, chimney and so on. This article gives a new cooking range through the study above.This biomass briquette home-furnace is designed on the basic of the former firewood saved home-furnace which can be bricklayed in the country kitchen. At present, the research of biomass briquette home-furnace is just the beginning, there are still lots of problems to be solved. We have to do more deeper research on it.
