High pressure water descaling system which is used to clean the furnace oxide scale and regenerated oxide scale in the surface of slab is one of the most important systems in hot strip rolling mill project. It also plays an important role in the production of strip steel. Water in the pipeline is at high pressures. The injection valve frequently opens and closes. They both result that water hammer and vibrates often occurs in the pipeline. This will probably damage the pipeline as well as attached equipments and threaten the operation of high pressure water descaling system in serious conditions. So, it is necessary to develop high pressure water descaling design software. The software can calculate the possible water hammer in pipeline when the high pressure water descaling system is running. Protective measures may be used to to control water hammer when the software is designing. It can also control the effction of water hammer effectively. It has great significance to ensure that the system is running safe and steadily. This thesis focuses on the high pressure water descaling design software and main contents are as fellows.Firstly, the related backgrounds of hydraulic spray descaling designer are introduced. The conception and the causes of water hammer are discussed as well as the calculation of water hammer research at home and broad are discussed. By using the software needs analysis theory, the need of hydraulic spray descaling designer is being analyzed. This helps to find the aim of the research and emphases for designing of the software.Secondly, calculation of water hammer principle is applied to high pressure water descaling system. Characteristic line method is introduced. The boundary conditions is analyzed. Mthematical and physical model of water hammer calculation in high pressure water descaling system is estabnlished as well.Ways of calculating the imbalance thrust force is being assured and the algorithm of accumulator volume and descaling pump selection is discussed. All the ways mentioned above constituted the calculation model of high pressure water descaling design software.Thirdly, in the selection of the development technology, the software selects Visual C ++ 6.0 and Visual Fortran 6 as tools and the database is Access. Considering of the complexity of high pressure water descaling system, the thesis divides the pipeline into different components and a lot of work were done to design the software. The database is designed and the software is developed.Finally, the high pressure water descaling design software is applied to a steel high pressure water descaling system to carry out the designing calculation and checking calculation. The capacity of accumulator is calculated.The water hammer of the system is analyzed. The protective effect of accumulator for the high pressure water pipeline system is studied, it points out that the accumulator can efficiently protect the pipeline from damages caused by water hammer.
