High pressure pulse water hammer device is an equipment which produces pulse pressure by making use of the incompressible property of water and the impact that hydraulic hammer has on the connecting line. When we put the the pulse shock pressure on coal seam, the periodic alternating stress cracks and connects seam original pore which leads to the effective porosity of coal seam increasing, and largely solved the difficulty of coal seam water injection that the permeability coefficient is low and the coal seam gas pressure is high. So it is of great significance to further study of mechanism and characteristics of water hammer device. The relationship between structural parameters and characteristic parameter of water hammer device was studied in this paper to optimize the design of the water hammer device. The main contents are:Firstly, the present situation of coal seam water injection technology was introduced, this paper presented the use of the high pressure pulse water hammer device and the great potential in the coal seam water injection. It’s the main task of this project that the characteristics of high pressure pulse water hammer device were studied.Secondly, the differential equation was established based on the working principle of high pressure pulse water hammer device and motion law to express law of water hammer device internal motion; and the relation between structural parameters and characteristic parameter was obtained by solving the differential equations.Finally, dynamic graph curves of characteristic parameters were obtained by the numerical solution of the initial structure parameters of water hammer device, the results are basically accorded with the fact to verify the correctness of the theoretical calculation. On this basis, the influence law of structure parameters on the characteristic parameters was presented by calculating the characteristic parameters under different structural parameters, which provided theoretical reference for the further design and research.
