The temperature of glass mould has important effect on the quality of glass products, and it also has a significant impact on how to properly design the heat dissipation system of glass mould. In addition the thermal stress of glass mould, which is caused by the temperature differences between different parts of the mould, strongly affects the service life of glass mould.In this paper the pressing mould of cuppy vessel is regarded as the research object, and the simulation of temperature field and stress field of glass mould is performed on the ANSYS software platform. Based on the analysis of heat transfer in the glass forming process, the temperature mathematical model for glass mould is established. And some necessary assumptions about the boundary conditions in the forming process are made in this paper. Taking the time calculation and calculation accuracy into consideration, we only calculate a quarter of the mould and mesh it into hexahedral shaped finite element model with SOLID70. Then regarding the nonlinear relationship between material properties and temperature as one influencing factor of calculation, we simulated the temperature field of glass mould by compiling APDL program and also analyzed its changing characteristics. After getting the temperature field, the thermal-stress of mould is performed by using the manual indirect coupling method, and the stress state and the stress changing characteristics are also analyzed. In the end, the effect on the temperature of glass mould caused by thickness of mould and forming time and material properties is obtained by modifying the APDL compiled before and recalculating it.The temperature field and stress field of glass mould are simulated in this paper by compiling APDL program on the ANSYS software platform, and the effect on the temperature caused by some related parameters is also analyzed. Compared with physical experiments, the analysis of temperature and stress of glass mould made by the means of numerical calculation is very convenience. So the study made in this paper has important reference value to the practical production.
