From the appearment of Carbon Nanotubes, many scientists have been deeply attracted to research and exploit it by its particular and excellent characteristic of mechanics, electricity and storing up the hydrogen performance and so on.Though people find it have the excellent characteristic, because of it's special external configuration and strong intertube van der Waals attraction, they are practically insoluble in all solvents and, consequently, its applications are limited. So how to organise the surface of carbon nanotubes and make it compatible with other materials have become one of the hotspot problem of carbon nanotubes research. In this article, PS and PMMA were successfully grafted onto the surface of carbon nanotubes by ATRP active polymerization, and we validate that polymer was successfully grafted onto the surface of carbon nanotubes by FT-IR, TEM, TGA, XRD and solubility test. Then, MWNT-PMMA/POM composites were prepared by adding MWNT-PMMA into POM matrices to modify POM and using melt processing, the mechanical performance, electricity performance, crystallization morphology and crystallization kinetics of composites were studied. The results showed that all performance of composites mentioned above increased more or less with the adding of MWNT.FT-IR was used to analyze the efficiency of grafting polymer, TEM images of the samples provided direct evidence for the changing of nanostructure, the quantities of the grafted polymer were examined by TGA, DSC and XRD were used to measure the melting performance and study crystallization kinetics, and SEM images could reflect the situation of the interface of composites directly.
