Research On The Positioning Scheme Of The CAFD System

Machine tool fixtures are of vital importance in the manufacturing industry. With the development of technology, Computer-aided Fixture Design (CAFD) technology has gradually replaced traditional fixture technology. The CAFD system has already become an important component of Computer Integrated Manufacturing System (CIMS).This dissertation outlines the basic current state of affairs of modern machine tool fixtures, describes the present domestic and foreign research on CAFD, explains the significance of CAFD. It researches and discusses questions of the rationality, correctness and accuracy of machine tool fixtures from the following aspects:1.It designs the overall frame of the positioning scheme of machine tool fixtures, and distinguishes its rationality and correctness by using degree-of-freedom-restricted method.2. It analyses the reasons for the positioning error and its mathematical method.3. It uses typical single-datum plane positioning scheme and typical plane together to build the machine tool fixture resources and ensures the positioning error check is the key factor of positioning scheme evaluation.4. It designs the CAFD system and its positioning process and verifies the system of positioning error check by using the VB6.0 software in order to improve the CAFD assessment system in the futureThe results of this research are a part of modern CAFD system and will help to create the conditions for further research of CIMS.
