Sheet metal deep drawing forming is an important manufacture technology and it is widely used in manufacturing industry such as car manufacturing, aviation,electronic instrument and enginery industry etc.,Deep drawing die design is one of the most contents of deep drawing forming.It is difficult to satisfy the production's needs by traditional die design methods.Recent years, along with the computer technology and the finite-element method's development, the numerical simulation of sheet metal deep drawing forming has already became one of the important topics in the metal plasticity processing domain.At the same time,computer simulation technology has been used to guide the die design at domestic and abroad.Through carries on the numerical simulation to the sheet drawing forming process,we can understand the sheet's stress and stress distribution comprehensively in drawing distortion process,and we can forecast the appearance of forming defects.It provides the scientific basis for the designer on doing technology analysis and mould design,therefore it can improve mould's design quality,reduce die design period and improve the production quality.The paper take the thick plate drawing as example,analyzed the cylinder drawing forming craft parameters,and determined this topic's drawing technological parameters,at last it used the UG software design drawing cylinder's mold.This paper has expounded in the drawing forming the constitutive equation,the yield criterion,the algorithm selection,contact processing,friction processing and so on key technologies,explained that the power explicit algorithm drawing forming question is more effective,and it was easier to process the contact question,but also could forecast many kinds of craft flaws in the drawing forming process,such as sheet corrugation,breakage,snapping back.This paper simulates 5,6,7,8 millimeter thickness sheet drawing forming process separately using finite element software LS-DYNA,and carries on the power demonstration algorithm solution.From this paper,we not only obtained stress,the strain situation,forecasts forming defects information and so on in the sheet forming process,but also get the effect chart through the analysis on tubular formed situation using the finite element simulation.And it make us forecast the defects and control its forming effectively at the beginning of component's design. It provides the scientific basis for the sheet drawing die design,therefore helps the users to improve the die and the technological parameters.Through the cylinder deep drawing test,we see that the thick deep drawing process numerical simulation method is reasonable and correct.The finite element method can simulate the thick plate drawing forming process effectively,and replace the experimental simulation forming process.It will become the important method in simulating the thick plate forming process,and has the instruction significance to the thick plate forming craft plan's determination.
