In this paper, technology characteristics of copper and steel re-melt welding were analyzed and studied. Welding defects were classified. The discussion about the mechanism of welding defects were made. The relationship of the conditions of welding technology and quality was studied. Basing on analysis of testing results, welding technology most likely to produce defects was obtained. Welding technology tests to receive the sample of pores, slag inclusions, and no bonding defects have been designed.Causes of digital ultrasonic system noise were analyzed. The grounding, shielding servo motors and equipment, and other methods were used to resolve the noise interference and p low signal to noise ratio. Taking into account the high-speed production conditions, the workpiece in the fixture can not be completely on right place, so a probe of self-adaptive system was designed, the use of seam tracking device was developed to probe the adaptive devices to solve the distance between the probe and the workpiece was not constant.Process parameters of C-scan ultrasonic testing of copper and steel re-melt welding defect were analyzed, such as the pulse width and repetition frequency have greater impact on defect wave. Through repeated tests, the optimal parameters have been got. Single crystal normal probe and water-logging ultrasonic probe were compared by technological experiences .As result, probe of 10MHZ was choosed with more ideal detecting effects. Basing on requirements of the testing time and the quality and, speed of the 1 #servo motor was 120°/s.By analyzing and studying the process of carrying capacity of copper and steel re-melt welding joints in artillery fire, the system with methods of testing welding quality and parameters was raised, including appearance, mechanical properties, and internal defects in welded joints..Shear strength testing was used to detect joint bonding strength; the use of metallographic analysis was used to deserve microstructure of the joint interface and the composition; Radiographic Testing and ultrasonic Testing were used to detect the defect inside welding joint; Penetrant testing also can detect the performance, built a preliminary quality testing system.
