| In this paper,mechanical performance of high-energy propellant contained thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer(TPUE) was studied.TPUE is added on the basis of the basic formulation of high-energy TEGDN propellants in this kind of propellants.The basic formulation was determined by theoretical,experimental analysis and optimal design of propellant formula.On the basis of the basic formulation,series of propellants were prepared by varying the contents of different components.The mechanical performance in different temperature of high-erengy TEGN propellants was tested and characterized in detail by material test machine,pounding test machine,DMA, etc.The effect of different factors on their mechanical performance were studied,such as component,content,preparation technics etc.At the same time the energetic performance was calculated and tested.The results shows that:When the content of RDX is among 30%-40%,the content of mixed nitrate is among 19%-25%,and the content of TPUE is among 1.5%-2.0%,the mechanical performance of high-energy TEGDN propellants is good and can be considered as high-energy and high-strength propellants.Considering the effects of components,an improved formular is determined:NC 45.3%,mixted nitrate 23.9%(NG:TEGDN=2:1), RDX 30.0%,and TPUE 1.5%.The propellants of this formular can have high strengh as well as high energy. |
