| Thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE) and thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) are segmented copolymers that possess a structure called microphase separation. The special structure let the polymers have many excellent properties, high mechanical strength flexible,impact resistance,creep resistance,oil resistance and anti-low temperature and so on. They can be used in many areas and are studied in great demand.The article used TPEE as the major ingredient, prepared the blends via melt blending in case to get an easy-processing and excellent mechanical property polymer alloy. The mechanical property,thermal behavior,dynamic mechanical property,dynamic rheological behavior and the phase morphology are studied when polyether TPU and polyester TPU are mixed in TPEE. In the document, there are few report about blending of TPEE and TPU.The paper choose a new polymer modifier called namo-carboxyl butyronitrile rubber powder(XNBR) that has nuclear shell structure. The influence to the mechanicals properties and rheology behavior are studied when mixed the XNBR to the polyether TPU and TPEE.The research results as follows: The tensile strength increased and then reduced along with the contents of polyether TPU. It reached maximum when the contents of TPU is 20wt%, increased by 28.4% compared with TPEE, also the elongation at break reached to 621%.The tensile strength and the elongation at break increased all the while along with the contents of polyester TPU. It reached maximum when the contents of TPU is 50wt%, increased by 36.3% and 51.5% compared with TPEE. The value of low temperature impact test reduced about 3KJ/m2.SEM showed that in the blends of TPEE/polyether TPU and TPEE/polyester TPU appeared "sea-island" structure, TPU as the island. The size of the disperse phase is about 1μm.The elongation at break and the property of low temperature impact of polyether TPU increased a lot when the contents of XNBR no more than 3wt%, also with the tensile strength and the elongation at break of TPEE. The dynamic rheology showed that the complex viscosity of the blends increased when added XNBR to TPEE and TPU. |
