Daqing Oil Field Natual gas Sub-Company's Natual gas pipeline network is a complex system. In order to make it operate safely and smoothly and ensure safety of gas supply for downstream users, measures of end section and underground gas storage for peak shaving are adopted. As the change regularity of flow and pressure in the pipeline is very complex, commercial software is needed to simulate peak shaving scenario. TGNET is a popular simulation tool for gas pipeline network. In order to utilize it to simulate peak shaving scenario efficiently, research on the application of TGNET is carried out in depth.TGNET models of Natual gas pipeline network are established by analyzing topology and configuration systematically. Based on consumption law and practical operation requirements of underground gas storage, several short-term peak shaving scenarios of typical condition are studied on. Analysis of simulation results of every peak shaving scenario and comparison among them is carried out. with the rule of lowest energy cost, the optimal peak shaving scenario of typical cases of Natual gas pipeline network has been obtained. The thesis also dose some work about friction factor of gas pipeline, based on field data of the first station spacing of Daqing-Haerbin gas pipeline.
