Higher requirement has been made to power grids with the large change of power supply structure caused by randomness,intermittent of renewable energy power supply,as well as changes in industrial demand for electricity caused by the increase in power load peak and valley.However,the construction of energy power and the coal-based situation determines that coal-fired power plants will still be the main power supply to participate in the peak regulation of power gird in the future.What is more,large-scale coal-fired power units have participated in peak shaving at present.In this paper,one the most common coal-fired power unit is selected to study which is supercritical and with the capacity of 660 MW.Firstly,peak shaving operation influence of the boiler,steam turbine and thermal control are analyzed considering both parameters performance and equipment safety.Several restrictions have been founded that affecting the peak shaving depth and thus the lowest peak-load was determined.Secondly,the coal consumption of electricity supply under different load factor is calculated based on data mining algorithm.The actual data of the unit under various operating conditions are collected and analyzed to determine the coal consumption level of typical unit in the variable load peaking state and corresponding relationship of load rate and unit heat consumption,auxiliary power ratio,coal consumption and other economic indicators.Considering the environmental performance and reliability of the typical unit during the peak load regulation,the characteristics of the pollutant discharge regulations under the condition of depth peaking are studied,and the discharge rate and nitrogen oxides,sulfide and soot are obtained.Finally,the fixed cost and variable cost of power generation are analyzed,and the calculation model of the peak load shedding cost is established for calculation of economic indexes and environmental indicators of the peak load regulation.The whole process of the power generation cost of the unit is analyzed,and relevant policy suggestions in connection base on the analyze all above and the existing policy are put forward to guide the large coal-fired units to participate in the deep peaking work legitimately.
