The Toughening For Epoxy Resin Adhesive

The epoxy resin adhesive is one of the most important adhesives in auto industry, especially for car body shop. It is wildly used for a series of high strength products just like spot welding adhesive and structure adhesive. Because its toughness is not good enough, we must apply it after being modified and toughened. To set out from practice, this article has a study on the toughening for epoxy resin adhesive with different high temperature curing agents and using several kinds of toughening agents. This article also has a research on the influence of one toughening agent with different content, this influence is expressed with the sheer strength, peel strength, bulk performance and glass transition temperature. This article also give out some positive opinion for practice, and at the same time, it contributes to the research of high performance adhesive.
